In the eighth part of the new segment of Starting Overdrive called Turning Points, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, continues his story of starting over after a life-defining accident changed his life.
After being hit by a car, spending a week in a coma, surviving three major brain surgeries, nearly losing his life, and enduring five years of recovery, Reg never thought he'd have a professional career. His friends and peers passed him by in university and career while his life was on hold. 
Moving across the country into the unknown, finding himself lost in search of direction, starting over again, Reg eventually discovered his true purpose and career path.
In Part 8, Reg tells the story of the biggest opportunity of his life. 
After a chance meeting in 1996, Reg was asked to join a popular online team in the early days of the Internet. In the seventh part of the new segment of Starting Overdrive called Turning Points, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, tells the story of how he discovered his true purpose in life after starting over on the west coast, being lost, and having his life on pause for so many years on the east coast.
After getting hit by a car in 1985, waking up from a coma, a five-year recovery, starting over, and moving across Canada into the unknown, Reg found himself lost all over again in a new home struggling to find his true purpose.
In this episode, Reg recalls how he woke up one day in 1995 and made the pivotal decision to take control of his professional life and work to make his dreams come true.

In the sixth part of the new segment of Starting Overdrive called Turning Points, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, tells the story of how he found himself lost all over again in a new home after starting over from moving across the entire country of Canada by train in 1993.
After getting hit by a car, waking up from a coma, 5-years of recovery, starting over, and moving across Canada into the unknown, Reg discusses being lost on the west coast, having to let go of his former identity from the east coast in order to become the person he always envisioned and knew he could become.
In Turning Points: Part 6, Reg delves into such topics as his deep desire for change, the differences between the east and west coasts, being forced to unlearn thought patterns from his former identity, surrendering to what he didn't know, exploring new territory within himself, and committing to change in order to fully inhabit his own authentic identity after years of turmoil and change.
In this episode, Reg also details how he created his own unique formula to transform negative thought patterns into positive assets to improve his life. This formula, called Above the Line, is a system anyone can use immediately to make positive change and improve their self-confidence.

In Part 5 of the new Turning Points segment of Starting Overdrive called Moving Into the Unknown, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, tells the story of leaving the east coast on a train bound for the unknown of Vancouver, British Columbia after getting hit by a car, waking up from a coma, five years of recovery, and starting life over. 
After feeling hopeless about his future in Part 4: My Life At A Crossroads, Reg made the decision to leave the known of his life on the east coast to start fresh in the unknown of the west coast. This episode in the Turning Points series is his journey of traveling across the entire country of Canada by train in May 1993 in search of the life he envisioned for himself.
In Turning Points: Part 5 - Moving Into The Unknown,  Reg recalls the day he said goodbye to his family at the train station before boarding a train bound for his unknown future on the other side of the country, with stops in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, and eventually his final destination of Vancouver.
This is Reg's story of taking control of his life and moving into the unknown by choice after years of having change forced upon him by circumstances beyond his control.
Also in this fifth chapter of Turning Points, Reg discusses what it was like to stand at "The Crossroads of Canada" after his life reached a major crossroads months earlier, how traveling across The Prairie provinces was similarly therapeutic to being in a coma, falling asleep to the Northern Lights, how the Canadian Rocky Mountains aligned with his soul, and what it was like to arrive in Vancouver to start over after facing so much adversity from his accident on the east coast.

After the night that changed his life forever (Part 1), waking up from a coma (Part 2), and his five year recovery (Part 3), Reg Seeton found himself struggling to resume life given all that he had been through in the previous six years in and out of the hospital. Reg wasn't the same person anymore. What did the future hold for him?
In Turning Points: Part 4 - My Life At A Crossroads,  Reg recalls the exact moment of time back in 1991 in which his life had reached a crossroads while he stared out into the unknown horizon of the Atlantic Ocean. After years of having change forced upon him - change he couldn't control - Reg knew he had to take control of life at this one pivotal moment in time.
Also in this fourth chapter of Turning Points, Reg looks back on his childhood, the many starting over points in his life prior to his accident, his parents' relationship, how his mother and father started over, and how their crossroads related to his own profound decisions to start over after his accident.

During that five-year period, Reg underwent numerous life-saving surgeries and life-changing procedures. It was a cascading effect of injuries that forced him into an ongoing state of recovery all while trying to get through school and not be left behind
In the third episode of the new Turning Points segment of Starting Overdrive, Reg Seeton discusses the aftermath of his accident in the weeks to years following his coma. Reg also explores the life-long injuries he suffered, nearly losing my life, undergoing major brain surgery, starting over, letting go of his identity, his fight to finish school while being in and out of the hospital, and how he was suddenly different in the blink of an eye than everyone he knew.

It was the most significant turning point in his life that forced him to start over on a new path from a clean slate.
The year was 1985. Reg was walking home late at night with three friends when he was hit by a car from behind and left clinging to life on the road. His life was forever changed in the blink of an eye.
In the second episode of the new Turning Points segment of Starting Overdrive, Reg Seeton shares his memories of being in a coma, the experience of being in a coma, what it was like, his chances of waking up, the musical techniques family members used to stimulate his brain, two significantly strange but profound events while he was in a coma, the day he opened his eyes, and the surprising first words out of his mouth after waking up.

In this episode of Starting Overdrive, we talk with Digital Marketing Specialist and host of The Deep Gripping Reality Podcast, Steven J. Adelmund, about surviving and starting over from an EF3 tornado that passed directly over his house in Iowa. Also in the episode, Steven talks about dealing with a second natural disaster during the pandemic of 2020 after rebuilding from the tornado.
No stranger to overcoming adversity and starting over, Steven also delves into his early life of being diagnosed with ADD, understanding his condition, dealing with change as a child, taking risks as an adult, and choosing to transform his life by getting the higher education he once thought was impossible in order to realize his dreams and live life from his true potential and passion.
 
Steven also relates the many strategies and leadership qualities he uses in his digital marketing career to dealing with sudden change when you're forced to start over on many unexpected levels.

In this newly launched segment of Starting Overdrive called Turning Points, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, tells the story of the night that changed his life forever and the traumatic event that forced him to start over on a different life path. The year was 1985, a Saturday night in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Reg was walking home late at night with three friends when he was hit by a car from behind, left clinging to life on the road, and his life was forever changed in the blink of an eye.
In the first ever Turning Points segment of Starting Overdrive, Reg Seeton looks back on his life to detail the events leading up to his accident, the mistakes he intuitively felt, made, and ignored that night, how his family was falling apart at the exact same time, what it was like to be a teen in 1985, and both the difficult external and painful internal circumstances that contributed to a young teen being on the road so late at night.
As a local newspaper reported back in 1985, "Hit and Run Leaves Teen Near Death".
