Ep: 12 - Turning Points - Reg Seeton - Moving Into The Unknown

In Part 5 of the new Turning Points segment of Starting Overdrive called Moving Into the Unknown, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, tells the story of leaving the east coast on a train bound for the unknown of Vancouver, British Columbia after getting hit by a car, waking up from a coma, five years of recovery, and starting life over.

After feeling hopeless about his future in Part 4: My Life At A Crossroads, Reg made the decision to leave the known of his life on the east coast to start fresh in the unknown of the west coast. This episode in the Turning Points series is his journey of traveling across the entire country of Canada by train in May 1993 in search of the life he envisioned for himself.

In Turning Points: Part 5 - Moving Into The Unknown,  Reg recalls the day he said goodbye to his family at the train station before boarding a train bound for his unknown future on the other side of the country, with stops in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, and eventually his final destination of Vancouver.

This is Reg's story of taking control of his life and moving into the unknown by choice after years of having change forced upon him by circumstances beyond his control.

Also in this fifth chapter of Turning Points, Reg discusses what it was like to stand at "The Crossroads of Canada" after his life reached a major crossroads months earlier, how traveling across The Prairie provinces was similarly therapeutic to being in a coma, falling asleep to the Northern Lights, how the Canadian Rocky Mountains aligned with his soul, and what it was like to arrive in Vancouver to start over after facing so much adversity from his accident on the east coast.
